I was surprised at the build quality for something labeled RevainBasics, this tripod is anything but ordinary! Panning is smooth, the legs are solid and the grip feels good in hand. It definitely doesn't feel cheap. I've had tripods in the past that used mostly hardened plastic parts and legs to balance the quality and double the price. Aluminum is what you need! This tripod is perfect for my Celestron C5 as a handy astronomical setup. It can carry a 13-pound payload, which is enough for my telescope, eyepieces, and included accessories. I really enjoyed the nights spent with this tripod and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for one that can handle night and outdoor surveillance equipment. This tripod met my expectations!
