Review on Vive Trigger Finger Splint: Support Brace for All Fingers - Straighten Curved, Bent, Locked Hands - Tendon Lock Release Stabilizer Knuckle Wrap by Sam Dhungana

Cheap and efficient!

I used to have an injection at the base of my ring finger on my right hand and was curious if a splint would make it easier for me to trigger rather than having (relatively minor) surgery on my arm what is the next step in the healing process. I did a lot of research on surgeries and different rail designs to better understand what to do next. I became aware of this problem when I woke up one morning to find my ring finger stuck in a claw. It was a little painful, but it was removed with a simple pushing motion. However, I got worse every day until I had to go to a hand surgeon and get a cortisone shot at the base of the affected finger. The purpose of the injection is to reduce inflammation in or around the tendon sheath. Results were immediate and helpful, but symptoms returned after 30 days. It should be noted that I work a lot on our farm and I am 68 years old. Of course, I could go to the surgeon for another injection, but my goal was always to fix a structural problem, not just treat the symptoms. I've been down this route before, including painkillers and spinal injections, and there has been no lasting relief. Surgery should be the last resort, unless you have to undergo intermittent treatments that only provide temporary relief—until even they stop working. Since I just had (another) back surgery 60 days ago, I decided to order this Vive Trigger Finger Splint for a whopping $12.99. And it works! I wore the splint day and night and the toe loosened up after about a week. I continued to work outdoors with tools that required a firm grip with my right hand, but my symptoms improved significantly. In addition to splinting, I do some of the exercises I found on Healthline. The exercises I chose are the finger stretch, the O exercise, and the finger stretch. Others are available online and shown on video.
