I'm not sure if I can return it but I would love to!

These are for display purposes only and not for manipulation due to the poor quality of the wood. The educational value of this toy is great and it has already helped my normally developing 4 and 6 year old autistic child learn. and identify fixed shapes and differences between shapes. After using this kit I highly recommend using a similar product for teaching geometric shapes. My daughter goes to kindergarten and she only has to learn 4 geometric shapes. I chose this set over the 6 piece set because I wanted a product that we could use during their school days. This is not the right product! The wood is too soft for a function. It arrived damaged because there was so much room in the tub that the softwood blocks were scratched, had rough edges and even chipped edges. Had the manufacturer put some packing material in the tank, this problem could have been avoided. A fingernail would easily crush this tree. They won't survive a fall, even on carpet. A hard floor will destroy them instantly. The point on the cone arrived a little flattened and obviously the point on the triangle won't last long. I don't feel comfortable with my preschoolers doing this. As for activity suggestions, I had to look for it. I was expecting an insert so as not to remove the label inside the container. There are general activities but one big omission. The forms themselves are not identified. I was an excellent student in all subjects except math, and I had to search the internet for the names of some of these personalities. My husband and I would appreciate a little more parental help. I have several Learning Resources products and have never had any complaints about the quality.
