Review on πŸ‘€ Progent Large Diameter Scleral Lens Case - Designed for Exclusive Use with Progent Cleanser by Youngone Sevenfourgd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This lens case takes some practice. You must be smarter than the case.

This lens case is well made but can be nerve wracking if you don't take the time to understand how it works before using it. It's plastic, so if you try to put pressure on it, it's bound to break. Many other reviews state that the case is difficult to open or had to break because it got stuck. There are a few features of this case that make sense considering it was made specifically for use with Menicon Progent Cleanser. Progent Cleanser removes the protein, and after soaking the lenses in it, you need to rinse it. Be very, very, VERY careful (usually under a faucet) or you could get traces of detergent in your eyes and cause serious damage. You don't want the basket to open while you lower it underwater as you could lose the lens in the sink. Prescription scleral lenses typically cost around $1,000 in the US, so losing a lens is a big deal. The vial has a notch that runs the full diameter of the body so that the insert snaps into place when inserted into the vial. job title. If you are not careful to align the insert with this notch when inserting it into the vial, it may get stuck and possibly break. The insert has a hinge at the top underside of the lid. This allows the cap to be screwed on and off while the insert does not move. It is also very easy to break if the insert shifts and gets stuck in the vial. If this swivel breaks you will likely need pliers or another tool to pry the insert out, so be careful! Very fine motor skills are required to open the baskets. The baskets accommodate a variety of scleral lens sizes, so they fit my 14.5mm lenses, but also easily fit larger lenses. All in all this is a great special case, you just have to be careful what you do or it will break.
