Ok - so when I first took them out of the box I was completely unimpressed - they didn't seem nearly as bright as the photos and I felt like it would be more efficient and brighter , if you used white light in the color bar instead of colored lights in the color bar - they all worked, but some (especially the red one) seemed pretty dim. I was about to write this product off as yet another scam I fell for on Amazon, but my frustration quickly evaporated when I went on my first outing. Most lights are bright enough to be seen from afar in the dark. And the flashlight doesn't slip at all once it's attached - just make sure you tuck the battery pack under the black rubber band near the edge of the tape to keep it in place. The strap works great and stays securely on my ankle (so small it might not fit a man's large ankle, FYI) for 2.5 hours of walking and I didn't even have to adjust it! This ONE was worth the purchase for me as it rarely happens. I got home and even forgot that I had turned it off for an hour while cleaning the apartment, so it was on for 3.5-4 hours in a row with no heat or discomfort and no noticeable change in brightness. Fiction! I've only had them for a few days so I'll update them accordingly if they bother me, but for now I highly recommend these bands! They protected me and were visible on the streets of LA, they are comfortable and look freaking cool on my ankles :) Great product
