I already have a shorter version of this jacket in a different color and wanted something longer. Fit Advice: XL in the coat runs closer to XXL in the jacket. My usual size is L, but sometimes I wear XL because it's a bit looser. (I'm 70 years old, 5ft 8in and 165#). This coat is slightly warmer than my 32 degree down jacket. It pretty much fits in the included storage bag. I plan to take it on a trip next spring. , and I take a small zippered pillowcase with me so I can fold it up and use it as a pillow, too, if needed. I live in California so I don't really know COLD. But in recent days it has been a very comfortable coat. 40's to mid 50's. I love that the inner pockets are sewn on at the bottom so you can stash something flat or small. I used the chest pocket for my phone (iPhone 7 fits with plenty of room).
