A good iPad or phone stand will make your device twice as useful at an affordable price. This is the best stand I have ever tested. It needs to be durable, not shake the device when hit, be able to rise above another computer or head level so it's easy to see without flexing your neck or taking up surface space , and be portable so you can move it or take it with you on a trip. This stand has more capacity than any other stand I've found, as well as the smallest footprint. You can fit a 17-inch laptop underneath, and the iPad's screen is a few inches closer, perfect for zooming into a conference while typing without moving your head. Other coasters don't rise high enough. Unscrewing takes a minute. stand and stow it away in your luggage, taking up less space than any other stand. Its beautiful aluminum finish blends in with other devices and looks the cleanest. just a simple base and stem, no useless hinges or levers. I can't hang it on the wall like AboveTEK (second place for double the price), but I couldn't find a single home or office application where UGreen's placement didn't work as well or better. That would make it literally perfect: 1- The base should be flipped over so it's wider at the bottom, which improves the already impressive stability and allows the laptop to be placed on the base without the base tipping over easily. The laptop helps cool it down and also improves the tilt angle. 2-The top bracket or stand base can be rotated 360 degrees, allowing you to place the base in any position, hit objects on the table surface, and create 3 different lifting angles for the laptop. A 3-fitting that rotates to allow extension of the stem may have at least one protruding rib to facilitate rotation when tightly closed. 4-All visible parts can be aluminum coated (the base and retaining clip are white plastic) or all white for maximum aesthetics, and 5. A safe place in the base to store the hex key to take it apart which is excellent AboveTEK has a knurled screw head for attaching the base, eliminating the need for an allen wrench. Even without these minor tweaks, this is clearly the best stand at any price point.
