Review on Polk Audio AM4110 Nue Headphones by Claire Soto

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great as a headset and as headphones

I don't normally use headphones and don't have much experience with them, but after some experience with Polk Audio I wanted to review them. First, they definitely knock out all the water, like headphones for iPod/iPhone. What I like most about these headphones is that they are both high quality headphones and a great headset. The sound quality is excellent, which is to be expected from headphones. There's no soundstage, so I wouldn't recommend them for any type of audio production (although who looks at them and thinks about making music with them). I listened to heavy dance music, live jazz recordings, concert music (like classical) and audio books. Without a doubt, everything sounds great in these headphones. The clarity of these headphones is impeccable (but, as I said, very appropriate). Second, these headphones are quite comfortable. I listened continuously for three to four hours with these headphones, and unlike some other headphones I've used, my ears and ear canals didn't feel any strain or pain afterwards. They come in a variety of shape sizes that fit quite comfortably. I have fairly small ear canals and finding earbuds that stay in my ears without being too big has always been a challenge. The smallest conical shape on them works fine for me. What really quintuples this rating for me is that my headphones recently started buzzing erratically while listening to an audiobook. I just spoke to Polk customer service and although I'm a few weeks out of warranty they will replace it for free. I look forward to many hours of uninterrupted use of these headphones. Have fun while listening!
