The tool did not work! The alignment tool is a slightly larger diameter, it went through my new gimbal but got stuck and it was a huge project to free it without damaging it. The Gimble Bearing Alignment Tool requires a hole to be drilled to mount an adjusting washer that is not marked at all. Don't waste money, buy the same tool from your Mercruiser dealer and save yourself the headache.
