It is a type of low-cost work monitor that can be used in an office building lobby to display announcements or a directory. Resolution is crisp, brightness is decent, but color reproduction and whites fall short of the standards of a good laptop or desktop screen, even with adjustment. Build quality is good for a budget monitor, with a solid stand (that can't be adjusted), wide bezels, and an intuitive on-screen display controlled via a joystick on the rear right. There is no DisplayPort connector, only HDMI and VGA. If you need a second monitor for video chatting, this is a well-made but under-featured option. I don't think the screen is good enough by today's standards to be stared at all day.
