update * after about a week of wearing the collar made of my cat hair was worn out. I had it loose enough to slip two fingers into the collar around his neck. My other cat has an ulcer. This is probably best for cats with fine coats. Either I can't see it, or it's not a real rip-off collar. I thought the circle on the D-ring was a fastener that came loose when caught, so it's a break, but it didn't budge. The rubber band is very flexible, but if the animal got caught hanging it wouldn't help much. Can't say anything about durability yet, but looks good. Although I'm a little disappointed that it's not a real breakout.
