I'm between a large and XL in shirts (5' 6", between 180-185, more weight on bottom half) but often go with the XL to get the extra length and because some Chinese manufacturers run small. In this case I needed to knot the bottom- it's slightly large so if you're between sizes then go down. The sleeves were kind of puffy or large so I cuffed them to take in some of the material. The sleeves are *not* extra long; I cuffed them because it slims them a little. Might order again in another color with a large.
