I bought this collar because I have a very energetic dog. She loves to run and gets happier (and so do we) when she loses some of that energy. I needed to know where she was when she disappeared from view as she ran unleashed through the woods behind our house. She is an Irish Setter and has a strong hunting instinct. We have many kinds of game in the forest and they hunt everything. She also competes in the AKC Hunt Tests, so it was important for her to be able to wear a collar in competition. The collar was easy to set up on both my husband's phone and mine so each of us could track her as she walked. It was more expensive than some, but I needed something to carry to the pond. She easily got used to the collar and now associates it with fun. This drains the phone's battery, but since we were only gone for an hour, it doesn't drain. The battery in the collar hasn't had to be charged since we got the collar so I'm happy too.
