I received this on November 20th and it has been flowing since December 20th. I only used distilled water, I cleaned it regularly and I have it on a suitable surface so this is clearly a design flaw as many reviewers have the same issue. Aside from the leak, it works well for the price. I live in a VERY dry climate and my heating is a big problem in the winter. If you can tolerate a leak I would recommend buying it. If you are worried about leaks, I would recommend buying a different humidifier.
