This horse is so cute. Although my son doesn't understand the science yet, he loves to hobble over to his rocking horse and push his "buttons" (which are in both ears). The horse comes off the seesaw for your child to ride instead of rocking back and forth if they choose. The battery is located at the back of the horse's neck. The velcro at the neck closes and is virtually invisible when closed (it took me forever to figure out where the batteries are kept!). The only downside I found is that the hair in the mane and tail falls out very easily. I find this a bit uncomfortable for my son who likes to put hair and fluff in his mouth. If you have a child who wants to comb their mane and tail, be prepared for them to shed.
