Review on Onewind Hammock Tarp Cover by Richard Simmons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Take it! You will not regret it!

I am new to camping with a hammock and recently purchased a full size Silpoly Hummingbird Pelican tarp. It's light and very slippery and it's really hard (impossible) to keep off the ground by stuffing it into a very small attached stuff sack. Enter this magical piece of equipment and everything will be easy! I purchased a 2 piece canvas sleeve that stays attached to the ends of the canvas when hung and even when packaged. Simply pull one end out of the tarpaulin and attach it to the tree while leaving the rest up your sleeve. Do the same with the other end. You can adjust the position of the tarpaulin when it is covered and protected. Then simply slide each sleeve from the center to the appropriate tree and the tarp opens up and is ready for installation. And it's even easier to remove. Simply slide each sleeve towards the center while the ends of the tarp are still attached to the trees. And when the time comes, it even fits in a tiny Pelican duffel bag!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
