This is exactly what I was hoping for, to protect the corners of my desk from being smashed by my chair, chair mat and who knows what else. BUT it is not so easy to install. Duct tape is more like the elastic glue that magazines use to attach their labels. It sticks to nothing like the back and sticks to your fingers better than furniture. In principle, it is not possible to first remove the carrier and then apply the adhesive tape; You'll need to apply the tape first and then remove the backing, but good luck with the backing separation. I probably used about three inches of tape for every inch that actually landed on the table. It is highly recommended to use sharp-tipped tweezers. However, after final attachment, it works perfectly.
