I doubted it would work but it's fire season and there is no air conditioning in this part of the country. I load frozen bottles into the upper and lower tanks and enjoy the cool and slightly humid air. Quiet enough and runs for a long time with a full tank. It helps with my allergies and I sleep better before it. I bought a stand on wheels to roll from room to room! A few criticisms: the bottom tank doesn't always slide out easily, and when it twitches when there's water in it, water splashes on the floor. Also, the lights are annoyingly bright in a dark room, it would be great if they could be turned off at night. Otherwise I'm really happy about it!
