We installed (about 30 minutes) on our museum C8 pickup and drove home, 700 miles. According to research on the Internet, there are many "issues" related to damage to cooling fins. When we got home there were a lot of bugs and road "crap" all over the grille, but upon removal not a single "dent" or "embedded" bug residue was found. Protects it 100% from stone/gem damage, most likely not, but it will definitely reduce damage. If you have a C8, it's worth buying.
