Works like an Uno in December 2021 on my configuration: Macbook Air, Big Sur OS 11.6.1, Arduino IDE 1.8.15. No special tricks needed.* Connect with a Mini USB cable. The Mac recognized the CH340 USB interface. No need to download a driver.* Set the IDE to target an Uno. Click the Upload arrow to compile and upload code.* There was NO NEED to select "Old Bootloader", even though some older reviews talk about doing that. A modern Uno bootloader appears to have come installed on the device I received.I gave five stars for ease of use because I feel comfortable soldering header pins into place. After installing the pins, it plugs directly into a breadboard, making all of the pins available without a nest of jumper wires.Just for fun, I uploaded code via the ISCP header also. Later, I burned an up-to-date bootloader onto the device the same way.The individual units are very neatly packaged, each one sealed along with its headers inside a protective sleeve. I hope the other nine units that came in the box work as well as the one I assembled first.
