Review on 🌊 Enhanced SL32 2R025 Aqua Rite Thermistor by Ametherm by Adam Jackson

FOR EIGHT DOLLARS LIVE!

I was surprised to see my chlorine level was ZERO when checking my chemicals. I checked the salt level and it was good. I opened up my Chlorinator controls and found that all of the signal LEDs (power, chlorine production, etc.) had gone out, but my digital display was still working. Googling this symptom led me to a frequently failing thermistor on the motherboard. I turned off the pool equipment with the switch panel, turned on the power to the chlorinator and found the thermistor. He looked a little burned. When I touched it the thermistor shattered (I guess I don't need to get to my meter to see if it's bad). I removed the circuit board, found a replacement part from Revain and ordered it. In the meantime I put a chlorine shock in the pool and a couple of chlorine tablets in the chlorine float. The item arrived within two days. I removed the burned thermistor, soldered in a new one and cut the leads. I plugged the board back into the controller box and booted it up. The chlorinator operated normally and began to produce chlorine. Actual time at the kitchen table on the PCB was about 10 minutes (including photos). Repair for 8 dollars! I'm sure if you call a service center for a chlorinator with a salt system that doesn't have indicator lights, there will be at least three digits. for the beginning. The purchase comes with two thermistors in a small plastic bag. You will only use one. Secure the plastic bag containing the leftover thermistor inside the controller (away from the electronics) or you won't remember where you put it years later if the controller fails again. You can find videos on Youtube that walk you through this procedure if you are not used to working with circuit boards.
