I bought this switch to power the new LED underwater lights on my boat. The switch looks good but isn't very bright when powered up. But it will do for this application. Read the diagram when wiring it up. It's a bit complicated. Out of 5 switches 1 didn't work correctly. So it's a 4 star in my book. I would recommend this switch for any boat project.

Metal body, solid.Button is a bit small (have to use my pinkie).My biggest issue is the power draw of the light, in the vicinity of 11w.I used an old 12w wall adapter to test.My load being a 1.2w LED.With the switch the LED was at about half brightness.In short, not recommended for setups requiring efficiency.That being said I kept them rather than returning them.

***Update 8/1/2020 NOT WATERPROOF AT ALL! The middle of the button is not sealed at all and moister gets in and corrosion causes malfunction. I have ordered tons of these for projects that require at least a "splash proof” switch but these definitely are not up to any sort of standard. Do not think this is a red positive black negative button. This doesn't come with wiring diagram. Luckily I'm an electrician. I was getting continuity on the black leads. That tells me that's the switch, one is NC normally closed the other is NO normally open. I couldn't find what to do with the red leads. One is negative the other is positive. I took a pic of the back of the button. Hope this helps someone.

This is a very nice switch that looks pretty sharp on any project. Some have mentioned that it is small and hard to push with their fingers, but I see that as an advantage as it won't switch by an accidental bump. The LED provides a nice glow, not a blinding light like some switch LEDs. Its enough to know its on, but not light up the whole area. READ THE REVIEWS SPECIFICALLY ABOUT THE WIRING! The switch itself it nice. The wiring looks like a color blind monkey put it together. DO NOT follow the worlds norm for wiring and assume red is positive and black is negative. Get out a microscope and look for the tiny symbols on the back of the switch. Nothing works right out of the box.

Once I figured out that the two reds are the positive and negative poles and the two black wires are the on and off poles it wired right up and works as it should. Yes all of the switches in my package were wired like this Red=+ Red= - on the power side

Great product for the money, quality designed easy to use. Has plenty of wire to run and crimp whatever your needs are. Wiring diagram is off but see other reviews as they have posted easy to use wiring diagram. I did a 10 switch board with carbon fiber for my boat and came out perfect. Would recommend and buy again for sure

like it, installed two on tractor to control LED lights for back. The wiring was to show the blue light when tractor is on; it look half an hour to figure it out - red/black kept messing with me - would be nice to # the wires since red/black don't actually mean +/-. Some buttons were tight, had to use lubrication to loosen it so it would depress and release smoothly - which means the button may not be water proof. will find out.

Could not get full power to my cup lights. Every way I wired these they barely gave the lights enough power to turn on. They don’t work and it’s past warranty once I finally have my battery and solar set up

Ok I haven't wired mine up yet, but it was irking me to see everyone talking about two ON contacts. They are the two normally open contacts aka the switch itself. The +- are for the led only. Wire the two normally open contacts as a normal switch, land your ground to the ground bus. Now for the difficult part. Land your led + on the switched (load side) NO contact for light only when on. Or land to the battery (line side) NO contact for lights Always on. Or get creative and land it on the…

First it did not come with and installation diagram, also the cables are NOT color coded. I had to go to previous reviews to sort this out.

They seemed like solid switches but when I hooked them up there was a significant voltage drop that prevented the lights from being used. The battery was putting out 12.7 volts and only 11.1 volts were showing at the lights which were only a foot away.

I did not understand the relative size of the center pushbutton on this switch, including the illuminated ring. It is actually smaller than my fingertip, which makes it difficult to reliably operate.Other than that, the switch appears well made, and actuates correctly - with the positive feedback of the outside illumination giving a good indication of the switch state. If the central pushbutton was just 3-4mm bigger in diameter it would be fantastic.

Good quality, just look at the pictures on Revain to wire up. It is chinese wiring. LOOK AT PICTURES TO WIRE UP. That's my review.

Awesome product. Wiring is a bit tricky. But once you test the wiring and power it up it works like a charm. That's my feedback!

I dislike the design of this button. In order to turn it on, you must push the center below the top surface. Unless you have very pointy fingers, this is actually difficult to do. Properly designed, the button should sit proud of the main surface in the off position, and flush with the top surface in the on position.

Will be returning these switches and it’s a shame because they seem to be a nice switch. The wire colors are incorrect and there weren’t any instructions included with or available except from other customers. I don’t have any faith that these will be a reliable switch.

Slightly confusing to wire, but once you figure it out it’s not bad. The glow is faint in daylight and not overly powerful at night. Solid build quality, a smooth button push and a defined but not aggressive click at the end of travel. Would recommend.

I like them a lot easy to install and the light is bright looks really good at night the wiring part was a little different to figure out but once I did they look amazing
