Review on Tripod Adapter WizGear Smartphone Smartphones by Ryan Eppinger

Updated (12/18/15): Having used this adapter extensively for several months, I am pleased to report that it is still working well for me . I had no issues with reliability or functionality. Still, I highly recommend this adapter! ----------------------------------------- -- ------- --------- ----My cellphone's camera is much better than my digital camera, and since I'm into amateur photography, I needed an adapter to securely attach my cellphone to a tripod. I looked around a lot and saw one that was recommended by a lot of YouTubers but cost a little more than I was willing to pay, so I did a lot of research and read all sorts of reviews and settled on this one instead. I'm glad I did. While I can't speak to durability, I can say that it holds my phone very securely. I'm not worried about it coming out of the adapter at all. There is an internal spring and it actually took some effort to get my Galaxy S4 (with the silicone case) in, but once in it was fine. There is foam padding on the back of the phone and the short ends are rubberized to grip the edges of the phone and have small dimples to keep the phone in place. It also has holes so you can place your phone on a tripod in either landscape or portrait mode. Overall this is a good product and I would definitely recommend it. I'll update later if I run into any issues, but for now it's great!
