When I bought this mount my only concern was that it would hold my iPhone 6 Plus without having to remove the phone from the case. I'm happy to say that it has some free space, but not much. It has a nice firm feel with strong springs supporting the clamp. One thing I noticed when I got my hands on it was that there are rubber pads in the clamp that make contact with the phone.
