It blew up - seasonal decor
I bought this to dim my monitor's LED backlight and it should work. The power supply for the panel is rated for a maximum of 4A and 12V, which is within the specification of the dimmer. I hooked it up correctly and was able to dim the backlight as intended. Then I noticed the lid was bulging, and before I could get the food out, BOOM, the lid was gone (and all over my kitchen).
