Using tailor's chalk can mess up and make it difficult to keep sharp edges/lines on your markings. I stumbled across this while looking for an alternative to the regular chalk square and decided to give it a try. Oh God! Doesn't matter! Even though I used a "holder" for my chalk squares, I always felt like the chalk was on my fingers, which then rubbed off the part of my clothing I didn't want. So I found that every time I used the chalk square I had to interrupt the process of making/altering clothes to wash my hands. Not with this chalk "pen" I love it! And what a variety of colors! It's so easy to switch colors depending on the color of the clothes I'm working on. Traces can also be easily removed with a damp cloth. I will never go back to traditional tailor's chalk. I'm so glad I found this.
