Good glass straws but not so good silicone tips

We've been staying home most of the time since lockdown began. So I think now is the time to ditch plastic and try reusable straws at home. I did a little research and settled on glass straws. ALINK glass straws are beautifully crafted. Smooth and bubble free. It is excellent for drinking water and all kinds of carbonated beverages. Easy to clean. The dishwasher cleans them well. They also seem to be durable. No breaks or chips so far. But I have two companies. 1: Silicone tips are cheap, thin and hard, more like plastic to me. I haven't used it at all. 2: The brush provided is too thin or too big for your straws. It barely fit in, let alone move up and down.

Pros
  • Made from food grade borosilicate glass, great straws with a comfortable mouthfeel. Sea turtle approved, BPA-free, lead-free, metal taste-free, eco-friendly, protects the earth and is a great alternative to plastic
Cons
  • Big and bulky
