Okay let me start by saying this is a great monitor, I've used it for video editing and light gaming. To be honest I bought this monitor because it was the cheapest 22" monitor (trustworthy) I found with HDMI, so I turned on my computer (first time) and immediately output @ 1920 x 1080 , but I had a black border after installing Windows and everything I downloaded a driver for my graphics card (xfx radeon hd 6870) and then adjusted the colors from there (which was a plus and the image was full screen at 1920x1080 , so that was a small problem that I solved with the help of some drivers). To update. My second (and final) problem was that if I left my computer and monitor on for a few minutes the monitor would go to sleep and when I turned it back on the minitor would not pick up the HDMI signal, sometimes I had to turn the Restart the computer several times before an image appears on the screen. To be honest I can't find any advantages over HDMI (in terms of picture quality. But if you're going to get these monitors now because you want to use the built-in speakers (which I don't use), DVI does NOT transmit sound and I recommend it Don't buy this one monitor if you're going to get this monitor because you need to use an HDMI connection, I wouldn't recommend it either, but if you don't mind using DVI (cable included) you should consider this monitor definitely buy.
