First of all I have to say: Without the excellent delivery quality of Revain Prime during the CV19 pandemic, this project would never have been completed. extended cab GMC Sierra 1500, long bed. Installing the display and license plate camera was easy. Using the Auxiliary Circuit Kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014K93ROM The auxiliary circuit for the dash mounted display was routed from the fuse box directly below to the corner of the dash. The display holder was attached to the dashboard with the supplied double-sided tape. So far it has held up well. The rear camera fitted easily over the license plate frame, and the power was routed from the reverse light. The trailer is an 8 1/2 x 20 closed cargo trailer. Yakry mentions problems with the backup camera on long drives. A veteran was also concerned about this issue. Given that the transmitting antenna is located directly behind the trailer's top cross member, this was a legitimate concern. Solution: TX camera out to SMA right angle: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VHAZ0KWA Adding a 4 inch SMA pigtail: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/ B07YHJ9L7T And the SMA bulkhead suitable for entering the trailer next to the camera: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BXZ2NDV The signal is routed to the front of the trailer via two RG-174 15ft extensions : https://www.amazon. com/gp/product/B07FC8PVZSSSuperbat conveniently supplied the necessary jack-to-jack adapter to connect two sections of coax. I even had three extra feet which I looped and tucked into the wall of the trailer. The front of the trailer was plugged in for another SMA -Bulkhead drilled with a step drill, and the coax cable connects via a second right angle SMA adapter. The antenna was mounted as a pendulum and always shows me 4 bars on the display. All external openings were sealed with clear RTV and the connections were first wrapped with self-vulcanizing rubber tape and then covered with two layers of liquid electrical tape. Camera angles I used liquid tape to hold the camera in place and also to cover the nylon panes from UV rays. It was a bit of work, but it was worth it. I haven't tested the night vision yet, so I can't comment on how it works. In the user manual, Yakry offers to send users a third camera free of charge. In my interaction with Yakry, they wanted me to review their product first. If they follow their suggestion I will amend this report to include my plans for a third camera as a side mounted battery powered remote surveillance camera so I can see how far I am actually backing the trailer.
