I was looking for a front camera for my 4x4. Climbing to the top was an adventure of blindness, wishful thinking and hope for the best. I couldn't see over the hood as I climbed the waterfall. This solved my problem. Overall Rating: I love it, it works for my needs and I highly recommend it. Read on to find out the details. Pros: Great night mode. Great cameras. Front and rear cameras / selection. Large screen with excellent viewing - easily visible during the day. Bright at night but not intrusive. I haven't tried adjusting the brightness. Excellent SD card capabilities. Cons: Formatting the SD card was not intuitive. You just use the other two buttons used for all other menu commands - easy once I discovered the buttons. The record is what you see, what you get. What is shown on the screen is recorded. I'd like a true two-channel recording system, but that's not the case. Cable length - pros and cons. The front was a good length with not too much extra length. The rear cable is about 45 feet long (for RV). Luckily I was able to roll it up and hide it behind glass. The head unit shows sound as an option, but there's actually no preparation for sound. It also enables camera guides, but they don't appear either. No deal breaker is just a nuisance to me. In general; This is the best system for the price I have found. Other members of the 4x4 group admired the image quality and night visibility. The front camera's night vision was impressive - in full colour. The time will show. I will update the review if anything changes.
