While we love our Instant Pot, the Ace blender is not only problematic, it can also create dangerous and unhealthy conditions in your kitchen, and that's why I'm writing this to warn others. Pros: Good looks, intelligent electronic controls, incredibly well planned safety features, heats up quickly and promises to be another great Instant Pot product. Cons: Cooks consistently, whether you use smaller portions or those from America's Test Kitchen joke book. Even cold drinks run out at the top. When this happens, the dual-seal cap will force your liquid out, causing it to spill out at the top when you open it. Anything from above is easily sucked in places like behind the handle and, even worse, into the rubber seal at the bottom of the glass jar. Once in these gaps, it is absolutely impossible to clean these areas and you can never reach them in time for the liquid to stop it. I wonder if Instant Ace's designers ever heard of capillary action! [See my photos showing the soy milk, rice milk and soup that have been sucked into these spots along with the mold that has formed from this poor design. In the third photo the blade is pointing at the white dirt and black spot (mold) between the glass and the seal.] The dimensions of the glass jar do not match the measuring cups I have, so all recipes are thrown away in the wind. Do not clean in the "cleaning cycle"! It always leaves a mark, even after two or more cycles. You then have to use the included brush, which combs through the dirt, and finally you reach for a sponge to give it a proper clean. Be careful with the blades though! Conclusion: do not buy! Wait until they get back to the drawing board and have their designers fix those unhealthy design flaws. Or, if you're ok with mold and pathetic cleaning, buy one. But you have been warned. Problems caused by the Instant Pot Ace Blender resulted in mold in cracks and seals, which eventually forced me to return the blender. I hope my review will save others from wasting money on this immediate product failure!
