Cotton Material: T-Shirts

When I ordered the same t-shirt 2 years ago the quality was excellent, the material was soft and the size was true even after washing. As expected. I ordered the product again but this time instead of soft cotton material it was very rough even after 3 washes in soft water and fabric softener. I still feel like I'm wearing cardboard.
