    No dryer! - My review

I commute to and from work in Portland. The best shirt for riding. I don't even need it under a windbreaker anymore. Now to the product. It does wonders for wicking sweat and keeping me warm. It's the softest thing I've ever worn. It is written that it can be washed and dried. But! I would caution against drying it. Hang dry or air dry only. If you put it through the dryer, it will start to fluff up and become less beautiful. It sure can be washed but I think it will stand up better if not…

    Pros
    • great base layer
    Cons
    • A very good base layer, but it fits snugly and not loose or relaxed.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Which is ideal since it's supposed to be the base layer anyway.

Judging by the picture I knew it would be a little tighter on the skin. Which is ideal since it's supposed to be the base layer anyway. Merino wool is like a miracle fabric. I still don't think I understand the physics of how this works. But somehow I can go jogging every morning for a week and the shirt doesn't smell at all. This was definitely not the last purchase of merino wool.

    Pros
    • The shirt fits as expected, is well made, nice and long and looks as ordered. Nice to find this seller.
    Cons
    • A hole has formed after two weeks of use. Otherwise everything is fine

    Great company, great product

I have been buying Minus33 products for many years. Great company, great product, great customer service and great price. It's like a merino Honda, and merino is a Mercedes-Benz when it comes to clothing. If you haven't tried Merino wool yet, you owe it to yourself and the environment to give it a go and start here with a great base layer that's also great for a night out with denim. Great fit and great item. Once you switch to merino, you'll never go back to synthetics. Synthetic is a very…

    Pros
    • Moisture Wicking: Merino wool fabric is moisture wicking, which means it can wick sweat away from the skin, keeping the wearer dry and comfortable.
    Cons
    • May not be as stylish as other types of clothing

    Forever! - my new rating

Merino wool minus 33 is a high standard for sweaters, from my base layers to wearing it alone. My girlfriend likes how I feel and she likes to take my sweater to make her feel comfortable.

    Pros
    • Use the product to wear in cold weather when hunting quail. Outstanding product.
    Cons
    • itchy stuff

I bought a lightweight t-shirt with long and short sleeves and fell in love with both. They are comfortable, warm when needed and cool when the weather is warm on holiday. Will buy more colors of the same product.

    Pros
    • Dry them and they won't shrink!
    Cons
    • developed holes. Very disappointed.

    quality and convenient

I bought this and it's my second, it's light weight but warm in the wall and holds up so well. This is perfect if you need a strong base layer for one of your activities.

    Pros
    • So, Soft, I ordered 2 short sleeves and 1 medium density. Perfect fit, not too tight but not too loose.
    Cons
    • Do not machine wash

Great shirt! - my new rating

I got this for my husband who is a runner. He loves this shirt. It's super soft and keeps you warm while running here in the Midwest. I plan to buy him another one. Great shirt! I highly recommend it.

    Pros
    • Great shirt made of merino wool. Thin but warm. Happy with the fit. Good bye.
    Cons
    • not breathable enough

Faded but excellent in my rating

Fits as expected. I go kayaking on the high seas and suffer from neurodermatitis. This product is naturally cool. I live in Florida and wear this shirt all summer on the coast in the sun, great product. My only complaint is that it has faded from salt water and sweat

    Pros
    • Got this for my grandson who is in the military, he loves the fit and feel and I have to gift him more.
    Cons
    • Maybe not worth the price for some

Impressively. Used as a layer for 1000.

Impressively. Used as a coat for a 1,000 mile trip through the southeastern US and Texas in midsummer. Long sleeves kept you cool even in 100 degree temperatures and didn't cause sunburn.

    Pros
    • Perfect fit, well made and warm!
    Cons
    • Color may fade over time

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Fantastic base layer

Amazing for breathability and to wear when you are active. When skiing or hunting long distances in the sunshine, synthetics get too hot for me. This lightweight garment is perfect. I wear a medium size 5-10, 200lbs and it fits me a little which is what I wanted. I'll be intermediate soon.

    Pros
    • This is an excellent product which I will continue to purchase due to its good fit.
    Cons
    • The sleeves are too short! My wrists are open because the sleeves are too short, stupid...

The sleeves are too short! (I'm so tired of this.)

6 feet 5 inches; 240 pounds. Athletic build. Bought 2XL. Excited because Minus33 seemed to have the right dimensions. Not so. Very disappointed. The sleeves can easily be shortened by 4 inches. If you pull to the wrist, you can't raise your arms to row without stretching/pinching under your arms. Pull up the sleeves to fit my chest properly and to be honest they come down to mid-forearm. If I had time I would send it back but I need something now. Having trouble finding top-notch clothing for…

    Pros
    • I wear it every day when I go hunting. Warms me up, but not too much. Doesn't smell.
    Cons
    • Can pill after repeated washing

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

    The arms are very short!

Really nice shirt! Surprisingly light, stretchy and warm. Also soft! Unfortunately the sleeves are short. Got a big one when we usually get a medium one, but the arms were still too short. To return.

    Pros
    • Looks like high quality material!
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for sporting events

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

    A bit light though.

It was much thinner than what I needed it for at the time. I assume this is my fault as it is clearly listed as a skinny top. I'll find a use for this on days when it's not cold for those who definitely want to go harder.

    Pros
    • Fits well, does not scratch, the elasticity of the cuffs copes well with the fact that the sleeve does not stretch.
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for all body types

    Revainrating 2 out of 5

Dense, short, like a base layer

I was looking for an alternative to the Ibex 17.5 or what used to be called the long sleeve U-Sixty. They are not from the same universe. These shirts are more of a base layer than regular t-shirts. They are slightly stretchy, have almost no structure and fit very well. Which, you know, is cool if that's what you want. But even as simple ones they are very short. I'm usually medium to tall: 6ft 3in but very skinny, 185lbs (with a small middle age). The medium one was uncomfortably small, the…

    Pros
    • it looks good
    Cons
    • Not recommended for those who are constantly on the move

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

    Absolutely no durability

I've had a Minus33 Ticonderoga Light Top and Saratoga Light Bottom for a little over a year and both have tons of holes. I've only worn them 20-30 times and washed them thoroughly. I wasn't expecting them to be as strong as the heavier Merino but they are just awful. I haven't even used them for intense workouts, I just wear them under my regular clothes in winter to keep warm. Definitely not recommend.

    Pros
    • good product
    Cons
    • Special detergents may be required

    Revainrating 2 out of 5

Warm but itchy and low wear resistance

keeps you warm but itches like hell (just like regular wool) not to mention I've only worn it for a hike for 5 days and only rubbing from my pack's waistbelt chewed through a couple of small holes in the front. LOW QUALITY. unfortunately can't come back :/

    Pros
    • Great shirt
    Cons
    • Not ideal for people who prefer wrinkle free fabrics

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

    Great top for camping

Great product for camping! I recently used it for a primitive hiking expedition and it held up very well and kept the upper body dry. The only criticism is that the sleeves could be a bit longer.

    Pros
    • just right - cut, weight, warmth.
    Cons
    • May be too warm for some climates

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fits my size (XL), comfortable, not itchy

Just a first review. Went camping in a hammock and wore it all week in moderately cold weather (50 to 30). It was soft and comfortable and not itchy. I will try to update after washing, drying and wearing a few more times. Much more expensive than I wanted.

    Pros
    • Exactly what I was looking for
    Cons
    • Not ideal for outdoor activities like hiking or camping

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's ok for what it is

A light-colored, long-sleeved shirt is fine, but the resulting tan is much darker and messier than the one in the picture, which is sandier. Also, like many Americans, I don't care if it's made in the US or if it's a "family business"; I don't want products made in China. If you would like my business done elsewhere in the future

    Pros
    • Best underwear I've ever used keeps you warm and dry.
    Cons
    • May wear out quicker than other regular t-shirts.
