. a bit short for me at 6'5 but still a great layering shirt

The sleeves are a little short for my 6ft 5 height but still a great layering shirt. Everything you've heard about wool is great. This is the only layer I normally wear under my jacket when skiing. hot.

Pros
  • very comfortable even for tropical climate
Cons
  • Limited selection of designs available

wool shirts. in my rating

These are ideal for people who constantly work in 20 - -10 degree weather. My husband wears them with a coat on the street, he says he doesn't feel cold even when he's sweating in his shirt.

Pros
  • EXCELLENT QUALITY: The Minus33 Men's Lightweight Crew Merino Wool 718 Ticonderoga is made from premium merino wool that is soft to the touch and feels good.
Cons
  • Maybe not as strong as expected

Wish the arms were longer

I have a pair of midweight minus 33 baselayer shirts from a few years ago and thought I'd go for a lighter weight one. It doesn't have the long body and arms of a medium weight (or at least didn't have it). Looks like they wanted to save $0.50 on the shirt by reducing the amount of fabric. Performance is excellent as expected - warm even when wet, no smell

Pros
  • I love this shirt, I have 2
Cons
  • Limited color palette available

Falling apart in my rating.

Wool is soft and comfortable. He is light. I was worried it might be too hot, but it was comfortable to wear in Louisiana on "cold" fall and winter days. I only wear this when the temps are below 70 so I don't wear it often. I've worn it probably 6-7 times in the last two years and I really like the shirt but it doesn't last. It's falling apart, holes all over the shirt. For the price I wasn't expecting it to be disposable.

Pros
  • a very good quality.
Cons
  • May lose shape after multiple washes.

Lies comfortably in the hand, itches on the body

Judging by the reviews here, that's just my problem. I immediately felt slight irritation from the needle prick all over my body. I tried to wait a few minutes but quickly decided I couldn't wear it. I have 100% Merino wool sweaters that I agree with and I was hoping for the same comfort in a thinner shirt but it didn't happen.

Pros
  • Breathable: This crew is designed for breathability and temperature control, making it versatile in a variety of weather conditions.
Cons
  • Limited availability in stores

Comfortable and perfect fit!

I see many reviews saying the sleeves are too short. XS is perfect for 5ft 1in height! Finally something for us little people!

Pros
  • Comfortable, warm, overall feels and looks good quality.
Cons
  • May feel heavy after wearing for a long time

Warm and cozy in my rating

I never bought wool because wool always made me itchy when I was young. This is what happens when you buy cheap wool. You have an itch. The temperature had dropped here in Texas and I needed something as a base layer to keep me warm while running and cycling. It's a lightweight layer and keeps me warm when I put it on. I can wear this without perfume for several days until a smell test tells me otherwise. Worth the money I would say.

Pros
  • Great buy and worth the extra money for merino wool. Very soft and durable. Will look to buy more!
Cons
  • May not be as comfortable as regular cotton t-shirts.

In short: my rating

Had to return it as it was too short for my build. I'm 6ft 2in and bought a medium size based on the measurements in the size chart, the width/shoulders etc are reasonable but it barely comes to my waist with my arms down and is in in no time belly area. I raise my hands Shirt measures approximately 17 inches from armpit to hem. Material and workmanship seem to be quite good.

Pros
  • Good quality. Great base layer Or worn as a separate shirt
Cons
  • Not ideal for high intensity activities due to the material

All the benefits of merino wool are suited to warm/sunny weather

Synthetic fabrics don't suit my body chemistry, so I want merino wool shirts for all seasons. I have enough cold weather shirts already and want a lightweight, lightweight merino wool shirt for warm/sunny weather/locations. This shirt meets all my requirements. (- 1 star for that)

Pros
  • Fit is great. The quality is top notch.
Cons
  • Not suitable for drying

Good quality, comfortable, great customer service

I bought 6 of these in different colors and wear them almost all day. In one case there was a quality issue (too big compared to all the others) and Minus33's customer service was really great at solving this issue. I highly recommend Minus33 products, especially the long sleeve lightweight merino wool t-shirts!

Pros
  • Merino wool is great.
Cons
  • Not suitable for those who prefer quick drying fabrics.

Great! .... the best in my rating

Absolutely amazing and worth the price. Light and medium models are suitable for different applications. The good thing about this material is that it is soft and unlike cotton, it retains the most warmth even when wet. Unlike polyester or other synthetic materials, it is good for the skin, body and the whole organism! Thank you very much!

Pros
  • Excellent material, runs small (used as a base layer)
Cons
  • Limited sizes available

Can't beat the quality

I love this sweater! This is my second husband, the first had holes and still looks like new. Can't beat the quality. Washes well and tumble dry

Pros
  • I'm 5'10" and 165 pounds. I like the fit but the sleeves and torso could be a bit longer.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for fancy occasions

Need better arm length

The quality of the merino wool itself is good. The cut is weak, especially after wearing and washing. That's why I didn't send it back. I have XXL which usually means broad shoulders and longer arms, I ran into this problem in a top competitor (WX). Didn't think I'd be at Minus 33 which I thought was an excellent mark. I had no such problems with their winter weights. There's nothing worse than stretching out your arms and your top's wrist will be two inches higher than your arm! How about…

Pros
  • The lightweight design of the Minus33 Merino Wool 718 Ticonderoga Men's Lightweight Crew makes it easy to pack and carry for travel or outdoor activities.
Cons
  • Limited online availability

Excellent in my opinion

Great wool shirt to wear alone or as underwear. Sweat dries quickly (at least in dry climates). I say that this is a semi-sports uniform.

Pros
  • Good wearing comfort, good fit. Good quality. Works as advertised.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for everyday occasions

I confirm the size is small. One size bigger = perfect fit

Confirmation that this item is suitable for the little ones. Luckily the reviews say so. My height is 5'11 190. Broad shoulders and softness in the middle. I increased the size to XL over my normal L. I have a very comfortable, perfect fit with no extra fabric flying around. I use this as a lightweight base layer or pin art for hiking in cool but not cold weather. No binding and excellent temperature regulation. A fantastic addition to my Minus 33 mid-weight Merino wool set.

Pros
  • Great midlayer shirt at a reasonable price. Thanks Walmart Made in China, like almost everything these days.
Cons
  • May require special storage care

Size wise in XXXL

I don't write many negative reviews but this one deserves it. I bought the 3XL version of this base layer. The size is a plus size t-shirt and I can't see how they can mark it as XXXL. For reference, I usually buy XXXL for a looser fit.

Pros
  • Good for running and cycling in cool and warm weather. Washed and dried, accident and it hasn't shrunk
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other normal t-shirts

holes! my rating for my opinion

Stay away. I guess I should have learned it. I ordered a second shirt from Minus 33 and both showed holes after a pair of socks. None of my other Icebreaker, smart Wool or Ridge wool t-shirts have this problem. Disappointing

Pros
  • Very warm. Fits well, washed then dried and the product keeps its shape. No orders
Cons
  • Not suitable for large body types.

You probably need a different shirt

I make a living off the two Minus33 t-shirts I own, wear them when clearing the trail, working outdoors, running, sitting at work, and everything in between. While not warm enough to be worn alone in winter, they pair very well with a silk tank top and are moisture wicking enough to keep dry heat close to the body. I worked in an old and stuffy barn over the summer and found these shirts to be effective enough to handle the most intense heat, or at least for me. All in all they are good shirts,

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Not suitable for all weather

Revainrating 4 out of 5

cool but the cut is short

The material is excellent as expected but the cut is short. Really not impressed with the cut on light layers compared to midnight. The waist of the leggings is very low and the waist of the shirt is high. As a base layer, I would have preferred more tuck-in overlap to keep them tucked in. I got a reply from designer Minus33 explaining that the difference is in the way the fabric is knitted. Mid-weight jersey has more stretch, although the cut is the same. There are also no large sizes on light

Pros
  • good value Used a few times and holding up well. Fits well and is very comfortable.
Cons
  • May cause skin irritation in sensitive individuals
