Review on πŸ’… Mia Secret UV LED Monomer - Odorless Fusion, 2oz by Amber White

Learning curve but no bad smells and works great!

I love this monomer! I really only use it for practice and household chores. No smell, no headaches, no problems. For those who say it's not odorless or difficult to work with etc. You don't need to know much about monomer or acrylic in general and that's fine because everything needs to be learned. This monomer is ODORLESS. If you know what regular monomer smells like, it smells like air lol. Because it doesn't have the chemistry of a normal monomer and is more oil based, it cures very slowly and uses UV/LED light to cure. If you've previously used a transparent, odorless monomer (it's mostly used for schools and government agencies) this isn't the case as it won't yellow (it's purple) and is easier to work with. For example, if you're making a design or an ombre, you can apply one color, then put it in a lamp for a few seconds to instantly cure it, and then move on to the next color where, like a regular unscented monomer, you have to do all ten Do fingers with the first color and then it will still be wet. A trick to speed up the process is to add acetone to the monomer tank. It helps speed up the cure so it's more workable like a regular monomer, but it still requires a UV/LED lamp to fully cure. I add a lot of acetone to my plate because I'm just working out and haven't had any problems with lifting or breaking/breaking, but then again I don't use it for clients and have only used it a few times for myself. I would just use this trick experiment if you must and see what works best for you, if it's still liquid add more acetone and if it hardens too quickly add more of this monomer. I definitely recommend it, especially if you're just learning and just want to practice with it, or can't smell it in your house, etc. I really prefer working with regular monomer, but since I can't do it in my house, I pour regular monomer in mine shell and then I add this odorless monomer and mix them. I add some acetone and bam, I can practice in my room without feeling like I'm sacrificing anything and not using real acrylic. So if someone is in the same boat as me and enjoys working with regular acrylic monomer but can't work indoors, take some and mix until the pungent monomer smell is gone. Depending on how much of this odorless monomer I use, this technique doesn't even require me to turn on the lamp for it to cure. I know it was a lot, but I'd like to know this stuff before I buy it πŸ˜‚ If anyone has questions, my ig: ugotnails
