Works but not very well. It is often necessary to unplug and plug the power cord back in when it "freezes" (just does nothing) like a computer. This always fixes it, but is more than a little annoying and inconvenient. I didn't realize before purchasing that Pro Logic was used to decode the channels, which was "fake surround sound". Good, if you're feeding it in stereo and expect your surround speakers to work as well. but it's disappointing when you give it an optical input, which already provides the right signal for those speakers. Works great for music and other stereo sources that only have an optical output, and great if you're not concerned with movie or gaming fidelity.
