Review on 🔧 Refurbished Garmin Vívoactive GPS Smartwatch by Jamar Gow

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not as big as most smartwatches, looks like a regular watch, good battery life.

When I decided to switch from the iPhone to the Pixel 3, I had to give up the Apple Watch. I really liked the Apple Watch, but only really used about 15% of the features it offers. The main things I use smartwatches for are running, notifications, time and the current weather. I researched Fossil, Samsung and TicWatch. I chose Garmin mainly because they did a really good job of making a great running watch. This watch is not too big. I have small wrists. Looks like a regular watch. I teach so I get a lot of emails every day and the battery usually lasts 4-6 days. 4 days if you track your sleep. 6 days, I turn it off at night as I don't really care about tracking my sleep. The app takes some getting used to. That's a bit confusing. It also works with an iPhone, but it likes to be disconnected and reconnected frequently, making it buzzing. However, this did not affect the operation of the watch. You can go into settings and tell it not to notify you when it disconnects/connects. This problem does not exist with Android. The screen doesn't even come close to the Apple Watch, so it has excellent battery life. It's like a real watch. You can see them in the light or turn on the backlight. One overlooked feature is that they can detect strength training and count reps and sets fairly accurately.
