Luckily, this shelf turned my cat into a basketball junkie.

I have a problem. My apartment building is boring! My cat has almost nothing to see. But there are kids in the complex next to me who sometimes play on the basketball court after school. My poor cat sat by the window listening to the kids wishing they could see them. The only window overlooking the basketball court was the bathroom window. I put it on the counter to show her where the kids are, but there's a sink in the way, so it's not very comfortable for my cat to sit on. It's also under the window. I caught my cat standing on her hind legs, straddling a sink, trying to see. What should cat parents do? I didn't want to deprive her of any visual stimuli, and I couldn't bear the thought of her standing there until she collapsed from exhaustion. Cat. If she falls, she'll never forget it because she's a scared cat (now I see where the term came from). Since I live in rented accommodation, a fixed shelf was out of the question. After a long search I finally found this shelf. I love this shelf! I have a vertically opening old fashioned window with a hem on it. It is permanent whether the window is open or closed. Kitty was scared at first. A few days later I found her lying on top of him yelling at a kid who had missed a 3 pointer. Now she can bask in the sun or watch a game while I train. win win! Get a shelf. Your cat will thank you. You may even develop a new basketball addiction.

Pros
  • Soft fleece top mat keeps pets comfortable and is replaceable; 2 cat window seats can be mounted for more space
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options
