Update: Well what I was worried about has happened. My wife was cleaning the countertop and moving it around a bit and a glass teapot of hot tea slipped off the top and broke, spilling hot tea everywhere. I'm glad there are no injuries, but the cleanliness and damage (broken $40 kettle) is enough not to recommend this product to anyone with a glass kettle. Spring. The manufacturer needs to do something about the extremely slippery surface of this product. First Review: Looks good, works as expected, the surface is a bit slippery for the glass teapot we put on it, but we just take extra care when turning the pot on and off. The air vents at the bottom are well placed so enough air comes in to keep the candle burning well (some of the old glass candles we had were all on the side and kinda kept the candles from burning that much) . how could)
