Review on Enclosed Flashforge Dreamer Printer with Upgraded Extruder by Tone Hatton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

$1,099 for a great printer is a win, no regrets!

I am the proud owner of Flashforge Creator Pro, Flashforge Finder and now Dreamer. First, let me talk about Flashforger's support and business. Flashforger printer support is always there to support you and help you solve your problem. I have all 3 printers from them and any new printer version they have I will have too, thanks Tan Mr. All printers have and will have problems from stuck nozzles to extruder movement issues and rest assured that the Flashforge team is by your side. now my rating of the printer, i gave it 4 stars and 1 extra star for the flashforge support, let's get to the pros and cons. Pros: 1. Significant build volume for the price you pay. 100 microns and can easily go down to 75 microns at a lower speed, I've tried it and it gives good resolution3. The included Flashprint software is a great slicer, I love Simplify3d myself, but printing with Flashforge is no less. Low price for a high-quality printer, beautiful appearance and the ability to use all types of filament at your discretion.5. active cooling system and heated bed and wireless connection, printing from SD card and USB port, easy-to-use menu.6. Table leveling is easy, not automatic, but as easy as possible for such printers.7. Dual extruder although I find the use of dual extruders to be limited but it is an option and this printer does it very well, other dula extruder printers would pay you twice as much and many of them have failed. Cons: 1. The spool size and location inside the printer is the worst feature, but you can always overcome this by printing updates like I did or using an external spool holder. Flashforge filament is not bad at all but doesn't have the colors I like and there are much better quality filaments available if you have the money for them and also print with exotic filaments like leywood, brick, brass , copper, etc. They have spool sizes that are not suitable for your printer, but the problem is solved if you have patience and don't mind tapping from the outside2. Plastic frame of the printer, I'm really not a fan of this plastic frame, Creator Pro and Finder have the best frame quality, although this printer looks good, but if you take the frame, it will be cheap, and I always worry that it is will melt from the heat, although I know this is unlikely.3. The touch screen has a SD in the printer, sometimes it gets misaligned when shipped, this has happened to me and it makes the printer's touch screen white and doesn't work, I had to open the bottom cover and fix it, and now it works great but it does no fun opening a new item you just bought to fix it. I would like this issue to be resolved in future versions of this printer. Here are links to reel upgrades that I like and that have helped me use 3rd party filament: 1.[.] My favorite that I am currently using and works great[.] another great external PLA or ABS -Spool holder, my second best3. [.] just a spool holder that is good, a really good holder idea. I hope my review helps and please comment any questions. Updated 07/30/2016. It works like a charm attached to photos from my printers. The Ultimaker 2+ costs $2500 and performs as well if not less than the Flashforge dreamer. I love this printer, it's good, look at the quality of the dual extruder!
