This thing is awesome. I got the black one to go with the color of my deck and its very cute. It has a nice wood grain look and its so well made and simple to put together and it has easy to understand instructions (no tools needed). Its also pretty sturdy. I'm using it to grow herbs outside that I plan to bring into my basement for the winter, so I can stop spending so much money on grocery store bunches of herbs I never fully use up. Only caution is that is a good size but its not huge. I think I'm going to be able to grow about 8-10 bunches of herbs in it. So if you're planning to grow a lot, you may need more than one. Otherwise, I honestly love this thing. The water indicator and little seedling planter is perfect (the seedling planter has holes for drainage.they thought of everything). Also the extra water collects in the bottom but doesn't just pour out.you have to pull the rubber plug to do it.which is great because 1) I don't want dirty water all over my deck and 2) the water can be saved for re-watering because its nutrient rich. Last point, its a very nice finish plastic so doesn't look cheesy or cheap. Usually I only like wood, metal, etc.but this almost looks like stained wood panels and will be much, much easier to clean and will last forever without maintenance. Trust me, I'm picky as hell about decor items and functionality and this is a really cute piece for being plastic. Its a definite buy and thanks to the manufacturer for building a good quality, very cute, very environmentally friendly planter. And the little shelf underneath helps to hide our ugly deck light switch and holds my watering can and citronella candles.sooo awesome! Thank you!
