The hub for the cases I have sucks. It holds the discs REALLY well, but the part that looks like a latch isn't connected to the clips that hold the disc, so pushing the hub does nothing. Instead, the disk must be ejected. However, I've read very conflicting reviews about it, so I'm not even sure if they ship the same cases with every order. Mine doesn't have an odd smell, the plastic is solid and the plastic wrap on the lid is fine, contrary to some of the negative reviews I've read. In fact, they would be perfect if the hub weren't useless. However, it is better to hold the disc too well than too little.
