After borrowing an old ADS recorder from a friend, I decided to give it a try. The manual has very simple instructions, not too much for a beginner. I created an entire movie using Ulead software and was very disappointed with the final DVD product. The movement was jerky and the images were often a bit blurry. Not what I wanted after 12 hours of editing. I might have been happy with the product if I hadn't known how well the conversion process could work with a higher quality capture device.
