I have found that the versatility that comes with making cables of all shapes and sizes justifies the cost of this kit. So far I have had a kit for Dupont, JXT and now ribbon cables and they are all good value for money. There are no instructions included with this kit, but after watching a few YouTube videos you'll get the hang of it pretty quickly. This type of cable is one of the easiest to assemble. The most important thing is to make sure you line up each end of the wire correctly (you can easily swap all the pins if you're not careful). These kits are invaluable to a 3D printer repairer/modder. I used it to make extended tape grooves for my TFT display for my upgraded aftermarket processing board.
