I bought it to look at plants up close. There is an app that you can download to your phone and then connect to the microscope via Wi-Fi. You connect and the image will appear on your phone. I had very low expectations; It was a cheap portable device. I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to have excellent image quality and resolution, and is very easy to use. I was able to look at the tiny markings on some of the plants and figure out what they were before they became huge and problematic. I'm really happy that it was a pretty spontaneous purchase. Would recommend if you have a compatible phone/tablet. I have attached a picture, these pictures were taken with a handheld microscope in my hand resting on the rim of the planter.
