I was never able to use it fully due to defects

I'm a lifelong gamer in my 30's so I own a lot of consoles. Instead of letting them gather dust in a box, I decided to hook them all up to the same TV in my playroom. Unfortunately, due to decades of technological change, this is easier said than done. Supposedly this switch would solve all my problems by allowing me to connect my PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and N64 to my TV and connect them with a single HDMI cable for easy wall mounting . Technically, it did what it was advertised to do. However, I found the picture very strange with inputs that weren't originally HDMI. The image wasn't displaying properly and nothing I could tweak was able to fix it. So I just decided to plug the PS2 (the worst culprit) directly into the TV. It was a bummer but the other inputs worked fine. problem solved, right? Not correct. A few months later I bought a new living room TV and decided to replace the game room TV with music TVs. The new games room TV had the best picture with no burn in like the old plasma so it was perfect for playing old games. Imagine my dismay when everything was connected and the TV said "Unsupported signal. Please check the output of the device." Since there is only one output and no way to configure it, I couldn't get it to work. I contacted J-Tech and they couldn't help me. So I got this one Unhooked thing and gave it to another gamer friend. Is the story over? Wrong. He couldn't get this thing to work on his TV too! Both of our TVs are 1080p and mine is newer and his is older. So now I'm stuck with this expensive one Door stop that never worked the way it was supposed to. Heck I didn't even talk about how poorly the remote control works. It's like they took the cheapest technology to build this thing and gave themselves an arm for it and taken a leg.My advice - instead of buying this thing, buy a small distribution box for all your devices with the same output type, so one for all HDMIs and one for all comps name. This reduces the number of cables you need to run through the wall and provides optimal native resolution. Also, it will be about half the price.
