I've been using thin TPU cases for as long as I can remember. I've always had this minimal protection, but as long as the glass isn't a rear window, it really didn't matter. I had a galaxy s20 ultra before s21+ and the back glass and camera broke in the tpu. It has a back panel structure and the edges have more material to absorb drops. I feel this phone has a better chance of surviving than the previous phone! Update after 6 months. This is my favorite phone case I've ever had! Very strong, no signs of wear visible.
