I've read countless reviews and none of them have impressed me. Don't recognize brands. They all seemed to have a number of flaws. When I saw this one I recognized the Cooau brand from a DVR I bought 6 months ago that I really like. Even though it had zero reviews. But with Amazon's free returns, I decided to give it a try. I don't usually write reviews, this is my second or third time. Since there weren't any, I thought I could share my experience of buying one. I currently have Wyze and Insteons. Almost went with Zumimall this time. Looks similar, but I don't like that the card slot isn't weatherproof (this is on the bottom and has a waterproof cover to protect the card and buttons). First impressions. It's built tough lol. I dropped it on the tile floor for the first few minutes and it didn't even leave a mark. It feels rock hard. Setup took less than a minute. Download the free app, tap your WiFi, then view the generated QR code on your camera lens. My Wyzes have a similar setup, but they didn't run as smoothly. He recognized him immediately, he didn't have to hold the phone at a hundred different distances to see the code. I went to the other end of my yard and the WiFi signal is still at 84%, wow! Reviews of other cameras said they didn't work well indoors. But this one works great outside through walls. I will post this screenshot below for you to see. Bilateral Talk. Tested and you can actually hear and understand what each participant is saying through the phone app. The volume can also be adjusted. None of my other brand cameras are as good, but they all claimed they did. It will be great! I will be able to yell at my dogs from home. The picture is amazing. No problem. Night vision is good too, it has IR which also works better than I've ever had. It turns on automatically and turns black and white at night. I can see the whole room when it's dark. Wyze are useless at night. Motion tagging sends an instant notification to my phone. It was also something that never worked properly on my old ones. I'll probably aim for the side gate to my yard again. Charge it up every few months, I don't mind. If I use a magnetic mount, nothing needs to be unscrewed. Speaking of mounting hardware. As. One is a metal hinge, the other is a nifty little magnetic ball that allows you to rotate it to any angle and attaches with either a single screw or double-sided tape. Attachment points are endless. Since it's new I'll update this review if I notice anything I don't like about it. So far I think it's been a good buy. This time all the features they describe in the ad actually work correctly. Others I considered are much more expensive.
