Not easy. You have to know what you're doing.

I didn't realize that professional tools are needed to separate the touchscreen from the LED. I let someone else do it for me.

Does not work with model A1674

Supposedly it works with iPad model A1674. Impossible as Apple glues the screen cover to the LCD making it impossible to remove the old screen cover. You need to replace the complete assembly, protection and LCD module.

No tools Electronics

No tools included. I have them in my shop so I've been trying to get by. As the other reviewer said it didn't fix the issue as the LCD was falling apart with the old glass making it unusable for me. Now you need to order the entire assembly.

Installation failed due to missing LCD. I tried taking a repair kit to a repair center and all reported repair centers were unable to repair because the LCD had to be detached from the screen and it would cost more money than buying a screen attached LCD. I don't know why this kit is still on the market when it's more profitable to buy a combo part.

Screen could not be replaced - not even with tools.

This was sold for my iPad but it proved impossible to install without the critical hardware I didn't have. I knew it wasn't a trivial setup, but I've already taken screenshots on other iPads. However, in this model, the touchscreen is connected to the LCD display. The only way to replace the touchscreen is to buy the entire screen/LCD assembly, not just this screen. For those with debonding/bonding alignment equipment this kit might be fine, although I wouldn't expect anyone with such gear to…

Please watch the tutorial videos first

There are no complaints on the set itself. It is as advertised. BUT: Watch instructional videos on YouTube (there are many) before trying - even before placing an order. My 1673 repair failed. My screen was completely shattered so it couldn't come off in one piece as shown in the video. I ripped off several fragments and applied heat from a heat gun. In the process, the home button wiring was damaged, as was the LCD. At that point I realized it was game over and returned this item unused…
