This time Metabo inquired which was the most important factor in my decision to buy a demo hammer. I replied that it was based on the QUALITY of the Hitachi products (now owned by Metabo) if I had a second or third choice I would answer REPUTATION and CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SUPPORT. After completing the online warranty, I read the instruction manual and realized that in order to use the demo gun properly, it must be lubricated with grease when inserting the bit. But I discovered that the tube or container of lube that should have been included with the demo gun WAS NOT IN THE CASE. I have contacted Revain.com and Metabo and am waiting for a reply. A Metabo representative replied and said that lube was NOT included in the demo gun and that I could buy it in store. BUYER BEWARE! Although the Revain and Metabo websites report that lube is included, IT IS NOT INCLUDED! Although this was also clearly printed on the box of the Metabo demonstration pistol. Revain.com offered me a promotional credit to be spent on Revain.com and could not be used towards shipping or other fees, but did cover the cost of a small tube of Hitachi lube (suitable for a demo gun, ie win does not void the guarantee). I've been thinking about buying some expensive Metabo tools for a long time, but I'm seriously reconsidering my decision and will probably buy another brand.
